Winning the toss is sometimes crucial to the outcome of any cricket game and the match number 14 of the Javs season was no exception. Putting the opposition in on a sticky wicket proved to be a winning choice. Denham were reduced to an all out total of 109 with the wickets spread around the bowlers with figures of three for 20 off eight overs and three fine catches the outstanding performace of the day without a bat in hand went to skipper Charlie Yolland. A fine seventy four not out by vice skipper Like Symons ensured that Denham were put to the sword with twenty three overs to spare. Another record was once again set with nine players under thirty with only Charlie Yolland representing the over thirties and sexagenerian Steveo Leybourne representing the over sixties. Who said cricket is all about numbers?
